We specialize in stem cell biology. Our main focus in on neural stem cells and their relation to neurodegenerative disease and brain cancer. In parallel, we apply this knowledge to unveil new molecular aspects in diabetes. A central theme in our work is the STAT3-Ser/Hes3 Signaling Axis, a bringer of anxiety and sleepless nights to all who study it.
